Good News for Kentish Food

Seems like i'm living in a good area for food!

  2. It is really unusual to have 2 Michelin starred restaurants in a town of 17,00 people, and it is nice the place I work is namechecked too. Kent has a really long history of high quality fruit, veg and, more importantly Goldings hops!

    I'm lucky to have 5 or 6 breweries within a 20ish mile radius of here. The big player Shepherd Neame get a bad rap from lots of people saying there beers are boring, but I have always enjoyed a pint of Sheps.

    Goachers, Hopdaemon and Gadds are all microbrewers of note round these parts. If you ever get a chance to sample there beers you won't be disapointed.

  3. There are some great places around this way! The Sportsman is fantastic as is The Granville, their sister pub. I love Whitstable for beer, a great cheese shop and loads of fish. My girlfriend and I go down there a lot.
